After a near month-long hiatus from My blog… I’ll resume posting by recapping DomCon LA this year.
I left for LA a day early. When I got to My hotel room and opened the suitcase with all My gear in it, I was greeted with this:
I honestly am surprised if I don’t see one of these when I travel. Wouldn’t you inspect any luggage that passed through the xray in which inside appeared a big cock? Of course you would.
Unfortunately, I was feeling pretty heavily introverted that week (in part due to some bad news about a family member), so I skipped nearly all of the social functions (only briefly attending the Fetish Ball on Saturday evening for some play) and focused most of My attention on classes.
There were a lot of great offerings this year. I especially enjoyed the legal courses and the demos that Mistress Simone Justice did in Her Verbal Skills class. Some very moving interactions. A couple gave Me chills! Also, My focus on the classes meant I missed the Mistress photo. Oh, well. Education over vanity, I guess!
I taught two classes this year: Security Considerations and So You Want To See a Dominatrix? A received a lot of great feedback about both. (I will probably be teaching the latter again here in the Philadelphia.)
I also meet several lovely people: Madame Rose (, Mistress Eva (), Goddess Anat , Miss Foxx (), Goddess Cleo , Max Candy (, Annie, and Ivy.
I had a really fantastic conversation with Madame Margherite and Annie. The kind of deep and meaningful exchange that can energize Me for days. We talked about adult work, society, emotional and mutual support, metaphysics, and a lot of things I can’t remember because I had a nice wine buzz going on (thanks to the Whiplr lounge). I also had great talks with Mistress Katerina (@ServeKatarina) and Ivy.
I picked up some things from the vendors (top to bottom):a steel slapper, a faux, horsehair flogger, and a polycarbonate cane. I also bought a rubber quirt but I accidentally left it at the Saturday-night play party at Sanctuary and it appears someone stole it. So, thank you to whoever decided to pocket instead of turning it in to the lost and found.
I also acquired a really cool sensory implement for the head from the Whiplr lounge:
Thank you, DomCon! See you next year!
